We've waited 1,933 days for this. Party accordingly
Nathan and I met on Saturday March 16th, 2019, at 9:00pm at the Upper Deck in Portage Lakes. I didn’t even really want to go out at all the whole weekend. But Jess and Mike convinced me to come out for Jarod’s birthday. I figured why not, I can meet some people and have some fun, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do anything for St. Patrick’s Day the next day, since I was already going out Saturday. (If you know me, you know. LOL) Before going to the Upper Deck I had informed them that I do not want any interest in any guys that might be there. I just wanted to go and have a good time since I was going through a lot at that time and had just moved back home. I had been there for a little while when Nathan and Joey showed up. I was introduced to them, and the night had begun. The events that I personally remember but I am sure he will tell you something different: I spoke to everyone that night. I danced on the dance floor with the girls a lot and I would always see Nathan from afar keeping an eye on me. We would have occasional more intimate conversations throughout the night, one which I remember informing him about dental hygiene because I was in the dental field at that time. I had told him “You know when you kiss someone, that bacteria is transmitted from one person to another, so you better hope you are kissing someone who has good hygiene “because they were asking me questions about teeth. Sorry for anyone grossed out about this ha-ha. He insists I was flirting with him. I was stating facts. LOL The night was eventful with me being swarmed by all his friends. I noticed he stayed back and once again kept an eye on how I reacted. The night was coming to an end and the bar was closing and I remember him putting his arm around my waist here and there, all in good fun. Our Uber’s were coming to get us, and I remember saying I don’t think I am coming out tomorrow for St. Patrick’s Day. But someone had reminded me that I had my purse with my conceal to carry in Mike’s truck that was left at Zack and Christinas. They all joked and were saying “Looks like you have to come out now for St. Patrick’s Day!” I had headed to Jess and Mike’s duplex for the night. So, without question I had gotten up and gotten ready and we headed back up to Portage Lakes/Akron for St. Patrick’s Day. We met up at Nathan, Joey and Jason’s house before heading to Akron. We went back and forth between Brubaker’s and Barley House chatting with everyone and having a good time. I remember specifically at Brubaker’s Nathan bought me a drink and I had given him my number. I also remember leaving and having Jess call Nathan to make sure I gave him the right number because I had always got my middle three numbers mixed up. The first time we met up, he had gotten out of a dental appointment and was numb. I had asked “well if you aren’t going to work you want to meet me at a park and we can go for a hike?” In Nathan fashion he agreed. We both had our black skinny jeans on, and long sleeve shirts and it was oddly hot out that day. We walked through Cuyahoga Valley National Park for 3 hours sweating, talking about life and getting to know each other. A few days after talking Nathan invited me to go to Virginia Beach with him because he had won VIP tickets to “Something in the Water Festival”. I told him there was no way that would work out. He ended up convincing me to go. It was a long weekend and I got fried from the sun but it will be something I always remember. Although it started the curse of us going to festivals and them getting cancelled. I knew after the trip he was someone I really wanted to get to know. Every day after that we talked every day, and the rest is HISTORY.
Please remember that while this is a double happily ever after party, this is also a family vacation for many. Please be respectful of the fact that children will always be near in the cabin. We want this to be a drama free and fun filled vacation to kick off the rest of our lives and we know that is what everyone else wants as well. Additionally, in the nicest way possible "if you break it, you buy it" rules apply here.
