Paul and Kati

Paul & I have known each other since before I was born. Paul’s mom, Dawn, and my mom, Tami, were the best of friends. Dawn was the “dad” in the delivery room when I was born. Paul was about 5 at the time. Fast forward to when our age difference no longer seemed to matter & I ran into Paul for the first time in a long time, at my brother’s wedding. He told my mom I had “really grown up.” She of course told me what he had said so I immediately stalked his Facebook. His profile picture was him with each hand on a different girls butt and I immediately left the page. That was the last thing I needed I thought to myself, but little did I know our moms had bigger plans. A few weeks later they were out to country fest and my mom asked Paul to come install a new screen door she bought. My mom knew I would be there alone when he came to do the work. We didn’t talk too much at the time, but as soon as he left we started texting. “Anything for Kati” he said in one of his earlier texts. I knew then I was in trouble. In my mind Paul was a huge player and only wanted one thing, so I headed into it thinking it would just be my first fun fling and nothing serious would ever come of it. A few weeks later we headed on vacation together where his aunt kelley and uncle larry were renewing their vows. We were still pretending things were casual, until Paul went to a print shop on the boardwalk and got me shorts that said “this ass belongs to Paul”, his way of asking me to be his girlfriend. From that day forward we never left each other’s side. Who would’ve thought back then, we would end up here, a family of 3 (for now).
